FAQs

Orders

I am more than happy to add to your order once you’ve placed it.

As long as your first order hasn't been dispatched yet just place a second order and let me know in the notes at checkout that you’d like me to send them together. Please let me know the order number so I can match them up easily.

Assuming you’ve typed the correct email address in with your order you can expect to receive the following emails from me (please check your junk folder in case they end up in there):

1. Confirmation: An order confirmation email from me which you should receive immediately

2. Despatch: When your order is complete and has been dispatched, you’ll receive an email to confirm.

Delivery

Delivery to the UK is free for all of my products.

I do not offer international delivery at the moment. This is due to increased international shipping costs and the size of my products which push the price up even more.

If you really want one of my products but live outside the UK, then please do contact me and I can give you a quote for shipping.

Unfortunately not. As all of my products are made to order then it is not possible to offer next day delivery.

If you ever need anything urgently (for a birthday etc) then please contact me to see if I can make it any quicker for you.

My dispatch times vary depending on the time of year and how busy I am but I will always be going as fast as I can.

As I hand make all my products, dispatch times will vary depending on what you have ordered.

In general your order will take:

– 3-5 working days for Fairy Lights and Craft Kits

– 5-7 working days for drum lampshades

– 1-2 weeks for traditional lampshades and Pendant Lights

- 3-4 weeks for bespoke and recovering of lampshades

If you ever need anything urgently then please contact me to see if I can make it any quicker for you.

If you have not received a dispatch email to let you know that your order has left here then I am still in the process of making it.

I send all of my orders using Royal Mail 1st class, therefore they should arrive within 1 - 2 working days from when you receive your 'dispatched' email.

Sometimes Royal Mail can have delays and can take slightly longer to deliver items. If there has been more then 5 working days since the dispatch email was sent and you still haven't received your order, please double check that it hasn't been left with a neighbour. If you still can’t locate it then please do contact me.

Please note that during busy times like Christmas, Royal Mail delivery times may be longer.

Bespoke lampshades and recovering service

Yes! I offer a lampshade recovering service. Please see my bespoke and recovery page here for more information.

Yes! I can make bespoke sizes either using my own fabric or using a fabric of your choice. Please do get in touch to discuss what you would like.

It is very difficult to give you an idea of price without seeing photos of the lampshade. However  I have outlined below some sizes and costs to give you an indication of what your quote might be.

Price indication, please note these are not exact prices. Each recovering is priced individually.

- Extra small traditional empire soft shade, fully lined. No bigger than 15cm D - £60

- Small traditional empire soft shade, fully lined. No bigger than 25cm D - £90

- Medium traditional empire soft shade, fully lined. No bigger than 35cm D - £140

- Large traditional empire soft shade, fully lined. No bigger than 45cm D - £170

- Extra large traditional empire soft shade, fully lined. No bigger than 55cm D - £200

Prices increase as the size increases.

All can come without lining which would reduce the price by £10 to £40, depending on the size.

Each lampshade recovering is priced individually, based on the size, shape and condition of the original lampshade, plus the time it will take me to restore and recover it.

I recover soft lampshades using traditional hand sewn methods. Each lampshade will need to be stripped of their original fabric, the frame is then checked, sanded and resprayed if needed. Next the frame is bound with cotton tape, before the fabric is hand stretched and pinned in place. Once happy with the shape, the fabric is hand sewn onto the frame and binding and trim is attached. This process is labour intensive and therefore the price reflects this.

Yes of course! Please contact me to arrange an appointment. To give you an indication of cost before you come in, please send me an email with photos of your lampshade and the dimensions and I can give you a quote.

I have a small selection of my own printed fabric that you can choose from, I also offer a selection of plain linen fabrics. If you are interested in having your lampshade recovered in something else then I encourage you to source the fabric, as you will know what suits your home best. Please contact me and I can advise what the best type of fabric is to use. If you cannot source fabric yourself then I can do this for you for a standard sourcing fee of £25

Yes I can. Please send me an email with photos and measurements of your lampshade and we can discuss price and also fabric. If you are sourcing the fabric then I ask for you to send me a fabric swatch first to make sure that it is the right weight and type of fabric. Once we have confirmed all the details, I ask for a deposit and then you can send your lampshades to me. Once they are recovered then I will invoice you for the remaining amount and delivery costs before I send them back to you using a courier.
