The french drum silhouette, gently tapered with a narrower top than bottom, gives this shade a softness and classic quality that a straight-sided drum simply can't match. The hand gathering adds an additional layer of texture that makes the mustard linen feel rich and considered rather than flat, and the way the light plays through the gathered folds when illuminated is genuinely beautiful.
