Lampshade Making Workshop - Home Grown at Hi Cacti, 23rd Oct & 11th Nov
This class is perfect for beginners who want to learn the craft of contemporary lampshade making. You’ll learn how to apply the lampshade PVC to get the best out of your fabric, how to attach the rings and create neat rolled edges, amongst a variety of other techniques. You will make a 20cm diameter fabric lampshade which can be used on a lamp base or ceiling pendant. By the end of the workshop you will get to go home with your very own bespoke lampshade and will have all the skills to create many more beautiful shades!
Ticket cost includes all tools for the class apart from fabric, which you will need to bring along with you (ironed if possible)
Your fabric will need to be the following size,
For a 20cm size lampshade you will need a 75cm x 25cm piece of fabric
We recommend using a light to medium weight fabric, either a cotton, poly cotton or a linen/cotton mix. If you have any questions about fabric then do get in touch
We will be holding this workshop in the lovely Hi Cacti shop, which is filled to the brim with amazing plants and products!
