What could be more rewarding than learning a new skill and taking home a set of fairy lights in your very own design? Perhaps doing so alongside other like-minded The Simple Things readers, fuelled by tea, cake and pleasant chat. If that sounds appealing, our The Simple Things workshop might just be for you!
In this morning workshop you’ll learn how to create your very own set of mini drum- or cone-shaped lampshade fairy lights. I will teach you how to apply the lampshade PVC to your chosen paper or fabric, how to attach pom poms or other trims and then show you how to string the fairy lights. You’ll leave with a string of ten lights and all the knowledge and skills you need to recreate your project again and again at home, so you can make wonderful garlands of lights for every room in your home or perhaps treat friends to bespoke Christmas presents.
Ticket cost includes all tools for the class including a selection of fabric and paper to use. However this is a great chance to use up your favourite remnants and scraps of fabric or paper, so please feel free to bring along your own pieces too. You will roughly need about 10 pieces that are at least 20cm W x 10cm H for your mini lampshades. Tea, Coffee and cake are also included!
If you have any questions about the class or fabric choice then do get in touch
