Lampshade Making Workshops

Can’t find the right lampshade for your room, or have a lamp base but no shade for it and want to learn something new? Then why not come along to one of my lampshade making workshops!

Lampshade Making Workshops

I have been making lampshades for over 8 years now and can show you all the tips and tricks to how to make your own contemporary drum lampshade to either be used on a lamp base or as a ceiling pendant. I have been teaching craft workshops in Brighton for 6 years and usually hold a workshop once a month. After two and a half hours you will have made your very own lampshade. All materials are included apart from the fabric that the lampshade will be covered in, as this is a very personal choice. There is a maximum of 6 per workshop, and I can also put on lampshade making parties and one to one classes.

Here you can see a sneak peek of a lampshade making workshop I hosted for The Simple Things magazine readers, which included cakes, treats and lunch!

A group of friends very pleased with their creations after their private lampshade making workshop.

Both of these workshops are going to held at the lovely Starling Studio in the Fiveways area of Brighton. They have a wonderfully bright open space where they host a variety of art and craft workshops and courses.
